WCI CEO, Hiro Nishimura visited one of the partner universities, the University of Gent in Belgium on December 4th. He was welcomed by Professor dr. Andreas Niehaus of the Department of Japanese Language and Culture and discussed about the future possibilities and enhancement of the partnership.
After the meeting, he and one of the WC-J alumni, Jotter Verhaeghe (Spring ’08) met with the university students who are interested in the summer 2010 program. Many of the students showed their interests to apply for the program after his presentation. We look forward to seeing them in Japan next summer.
Also, there was a WC-J Belgian mini-reunion with the alumni from the University of Gent, Jotter Verhaeghe, Marlies Holvoet (Summer ’07) and Kim Merckaert (Summer ’07.)
