WCI visit to Europe

After a three week visit to Europe which brought Bob Sloat to Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark, we would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to the WCI alumni, friends, supporters and upcoming participants who welcomed Bob along the way for presentations and meetings regarding the World Campus — Japan program.

In addition, a special thank you goes out to the following institutions:

  • Switzerland: St. Gallen University, the University of Zürich, Volkshochschule Beider Basel, HWZ Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich and the Swiss – Japanese Society
  • Germany: Schule Schloss Salem
  • Luxembourg: Université du Luxembourg

  • The Netherlands: The Tanuki Organization at the University of Leiden as well as the AIESEC student organization in Nijmegen

Bob Sloat on the Road

Bob Sloat talking with a potential participant at BishopGeneral Manager, Bob Sloat just got back from Quebec, Canada where he worked with WCI team member Tony Sheehan to meet staff as well present the World Campus – Japan program at the University of Sherbrooke on February 6th. On that evening, Bob also got a chance to talk with the Japan club at nearby Bishop University, followed by taking part in their campus Career Fair on the 7th. “We had a great turn out at all events and are thrilled to be working with these two universities! Thank you to all the hard work done by Tony and for the kind reception by Serge Gagné of the University of Sherbrooke as well as Julie Vaillancourt and Professor Hizawa from Bishop University.

Other recent presentations include the University of Colorado at Boulder and for an international cast of Up with People. We had a great time with both visits and want to express our appreciation to the UwP staff as well as to the following people at CU Boulder: Melissa Rougeaux and the International Club, Jeanne Ulmer, WCI team member Ben Grafström and WCI alumnus Nick Zendejas.

This weekend, Bob will attend the Colorado–Wyoming International Opportunities Fair at Colorado State University in Fort Collins followed by a three week visit to Europe including stops to universities, schools and institutions in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark between February 20th – March 12th.
